Replacing your transmission can become very costly depending on where you source the transmission from. A transmission from your local dealership will far exceed the cost of your local transmission repair facility. Replacing the transmission with a used transmission ultimately will be the cheapest option. There are downfalls to installing a used transmission into your vehicle.

Your local transmission facility will provide you with the best quality transmission replacement. The aftermarket industry has created a magnitude of upgraded fixes that the OEM tends to be very slow at finding. Dealerships cannot install any of the upgraded parts the aftermarket shops can. Not only will you be paying a higher cost with the dealer but the root cause to your failure could still be a problem you face down the road.

Yes, we offer a 24 months or 40,000km warranty on all of our transmission rebuilds.

To pick one main killer to a transmission is difficult. But a very common component to failure with your transmission is the torque converter. Each transmission has its own array of problems.

The average lifespan of a transmission is dependant on what transmission you have, your driving habits and routine maintenance. Typically, we see automatic transmissions last between 175,000km to 250,000km and Manual transmissions last around 250,000 to 325,000km before any issues occur.

There are many different symptoms you will experience before your transmission fails. Some common symptoms are slipping, grinding noises, shudders and delays when engaging different ranges.

Many different components are common for wearing out inside an automatic transmission. You will see clutch plates wear, bushings losing material, clutch hubs, pumps and many more.
